Why Stonewell
Financial courses built around the people who attend them
Most financial education is designed for a general audience. Stonewell's courses are written for one specific group: adults in midlife navigating layered financial responsibilities in the Malaysian context.

Six things that shape how we work
Content written for 40+
Every example, scenario, and case study is drawn from the financial situations adults in midlife actually encounter — not adapted from a course aimed at younger audiences.
Malaysian regulatory grounding
EPF, Amanah Saham, Bank Negara policy, LHDN obligations — course content reflects the Malaysian regulatory environment, not a generic framework imported from elsewhere.
Maximum twelve per cohort
Small group sizes are a design choice, not a capacity constraint. They allow facilitators to respond to individual questions and adjust content where needed.
Clear educational boundaries
Stonewell is an education provider, not a financial advisory firm. Participants learn frameworks and concepts; facilitators do not make personal financial recommendations.
Durable course materials
Workbooks, glossaries, and template documents are written to be useful well after the course ends — as reference materials during conversations with advisers or family members.
Both in-person and online
Sessions are offered at the Bukit Bandaraya centre and via video. Online participants receive the same materials and the same facilitator engagement as those attending in person.
Expertise
Facilitators who have worked in the field
Our lead facilitators hold qualifications and practical experience in adult education and the Malaysian financial sector. The Shariah-compliant investment course is led by a specialist with direct background in Islamic finance product distribution. The household finance and intergenerational wealth courses are facilitated by someone with over a decade of adult education experience and a background in family financial counselling.

Curriculum
Courses designed for where participants already are
Adults in midlife do not need to be taught what a savings account is. Our courses begin from the assumption that participants have existing financial lives — and focus on the dimensions of those lives that are genuinely complex and under-addressed: household conversations, Shariah-compliant products, and intergenerational obligations.
Support
A direct line to the facilitators
Participants are not routed through a support desk. Enquiries before and after enrolment are handled by the programme team — including, where appropriate, the facilitators themselves. Participants who complete a course and have follow-up questions are welcome to attend the optional post-course Q&A session at no additional charge.
Pricing
Transparent fees, all materials included
Course fees cover the full programme including all printed or digital materials — workbooks, glossaries, template documents, and reference guides. There are no supplementary charges. Participants who need to transfer to a later intake for legitimate reasons are accommodated where possible at no rescheduling fee.

What Sets Us Apart
Specific to us
The only Malaysian course addressing the sandwich generation
Our intergenerational wealth programme is designed specifically for adults managing financial obligations to both ageing parents and adult children — a situation with no widely available educational resource in Malaysia.
Shariah-compliant investment course open to all faiths
Understanding Islamic finance products is relevant to any investor in Malaysia regardless of religion. Our course covers this market segment from first principles, without assuming the participant is Muslim.
Printed conversation guides for couples and families
The introductory course includes structured, printable conversation prompts designed to be used at home between sessions — a practical tool for couples or individuals navigating difficult household money conversations.
No advisory services, no product referrals
Stonewell does not have commercial relationships with financial product providers. Course content is not influenced by distribution arrangements. Participants are directed to independent licensed advisers where personal recommendations are needed.
